ALERT: Challenge: Early Summer Festivals and Events

Summer is finally here. Hooray! You know what that means? Festivals, celebrations and parades. The next couple weekends, there are a ton of community events all over the Cincinnati area. We want to see photos of community events (including all sorts of Independence Day celebrations). So check out one of the events below or find some other event to take your camera to, and take pictures like mad! This challenge ends July 7th. Check out these cool local events coming up this weekend and next. Lakeside Vineyard & Winery Summer Festival, Paddlefest Ohio River Music, Arts and Outdoor Festival, Soap Opera Festival, Festival of the Bells, Pioneer Days Festival, and Freedom Park Concert and Fireworks. When you upload photos, you'll see a spot to enter photos for this challenge at the bottom. To enter a photo you've already uploaded, go to your photo's edit page and enter it at the bottom of the page. To get to the edit page, click on the "Edit Photo" button on your photo's normal view. At the end of the challenge (July 7th), we'll feature our favorites. Getting featured is good because it means your photo will get more views, and thus, more votes. So get out there and take pictures of local flare in these great community events!

We told you almost 300,000 votes had been cast at the end of last week, and over the weekend the milestone vote was cast. Lucrecer Braxton cast the 300,000th vote for a cute photo by Sandra Ramey. Thanks for voting, everyone. Now go thank Lucrecer by voting for her photos!

Green is a fun color. It's the color of life. It's the color that surrounds us in nature. We could probably say a hundred things about green. We love it! So let's have a photo challenge for the color green. Get out there and shoot green things. Plants, frogs, limes... whatever.
